2nd time round…. my first iPhone App on live on the AppStore
Jan 9th
My first iPhone app is live on the AppStore.
It may not be Angry Birds, but it is a quick and easy way to browse the Cannondale bike parts that Qwerty Cycles sell (www.qwertycycles.co.uk)
Have a look, give it a 5 start rating and good comment if you like

Well quite a lot has gone on with me since my 1st attempt to get an App published (the mighty torch).
Babies, house renovation and a much more work (boo!) meant it has been hard to find time. I’m still developing iPad Apps in my day job and lots of Air/Flash Apps and exhibition interactives.
My old friend/uni housemate/mtb buddy came to me and asked if i could make him an App to work alongside his website. He is the only online distributor of Cannondale spare parts, so an App that would allow users to quickly browse the huge catalogue of parts easily by model or category seemed ideal.
And a great chance for me to have a real project to get published on the AppStore.
Hmmf! App got rejected

Well it seems they have enough iphone torches on the store
I just wanted to get a simple app published
Good learning process though. I Shall have to try again!

Getting my first app in the iTunes app store

Wait for it (fanfare) it a….
- iphone 4 LED torch
I know there are thousands out Bb there, but coding wise and as an exercise in learning the submission process of getting an app live on the store, it’s perfect.

Jan 17th
Every year I try to visit at least a couple of trade shows / expos and events to keep up with current technology and trends
This year i went to BETT (British Education and Training Technology)
BETT is the largest education technology exhibition in the world and offers you the opportunity to view, touch and test all that is new in the industry
Here are a few things that I found interesting.
Kinect on hold (temporarily)
Jan 17th
Other day to day work has meant I have not spent any time on Kinect-getting-working-on-my-apps.
Plus my evenings spent starting to write an iphone app and get a simple one published to the AppStore.
Spare time is hard to find.
Will pick up again as soon as I can though.
